These were a few of my favorite things

Sometimes in my memory, I think of simple things or tasks that I loved. They aren't enough to write a whole story about, but they are important enough to become part of a list...so here they are
1. Ovaltinies - those big chocolate disks that we used to only be able to find in Solano
2. Rattan Fruit - I used to always get some of the hard skin stuck under my nails, but the fruit was so good....so sour. I used to save the seeds and use them to play games.
3. The way it smelled after it rained. Steamy and earthy.
4. The sunset view from our front yard.
5. Mud Puddles - especially after a good typhoon. One of my friend's backyards would become a pond, and we would chase frogs in it for hours.
6. Manang Ligaya's sticky rice
7. Mansanitas
8. When the workmen would mow the grass. Not only did it smell great, but the clippings that we would collect were good for hours and hours of fun
9. The smell of burning haystacks.
10. Letting my feet squish around in the mud.
11. The smell of the print shop
12. The smell of the hangar where my dad worked.
13. The smell of the cash office where my mom worked.
14. Carabao moos
